2020 marks the 51st anniversary of The Stonewall Riots. The riots were a protest against police brutality directed at LGBTQ+, BAME, POC & QTIPOC folk by the NYPD and would later evolve into the pride movement we know today.
As we are unable to march in the annual parade this year Norwich Pride are encouraging us to “fly the flag” at home 🏳️🌈
These stained glass rainbows can take PRIDE of place hanging in our windows as a symbol of the importance in standing united to fight inequality. With that in mind £10 from each sale will be donated to Norwich Pride and other LGBTQ+ charities. There are so many brilliant charities & organisations helping BAME & POC LGBTQ+ folks, check out the Stonewall Scotland page for info on some great organisations to donate to.
As an Official Supporter of Norwich Pride 2020 we pledge our business will be a safe, welcoming and friendly place for LGBT+ customers and staff. We will visibly support and promote equality for LGBT+ people, challenge homophobic and transphobic behaviour, and have clear reporting mechanisms for harassment and discrimination. We will ensure our staff are trained to understand the experiences of LGBT+ people and how to be a proactive ally.
