stained Glass window And Door panels

The Commissioning Process

So you want some stained glass? Great! First, let’s get chatting! I would love to hear from you - just drop me an email. The information below should help guide you through the process from measuring up, to design, payment, delivery and installation.

Measuring up

Before I start designing your window I will need some photos and measurements. Here is a handy diagram to help guide you through the measuring up process. I’ll need the ‘tight sizes’ at this stage, it’s important that the measurements are accurate so please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me for some assistance. I can give you a ballpark estimate at this stage, but it will be dependent on design.

Design

This is the fun part! I offer a free consultation service so let me know of any colours, styles, or content you’d like to see on your panel, and take a look through my portfolio to find some inspiration! Anything is possible, but if you’re on a budget it’s worth knowing that some glass will cost more and curves and intricate designs will take me longer. We can chat through all of this when you get in touch, and I’m more than happy to rework the designs until they’re just as you’d like them. It is your bespoke product after all! If you live in Norfolk and you’d like me to visit you with some glass samples and to chat face to face, this can be arranged. If you’re not local it’s perfectly possible to do the design work remotely, I’d also love to hear from customers further afield.

Payment

So, you’re happy with the estimate and you want to go ahead! At this stage I will kindly ask for a deposit payment to secure your booking, this fee will be deducted from your final bill. Once we’ve agreed a design I will give you a final quote for supply only, or I can include any extras like secondary glazing / encapsulation, delivery and installation. Depending on the size of your project, you can expect the remaining balance to be due upon completion or for larger projects the total will be divided up and issued at intervals throughout the manufacturing process.

Delivery and installation

If you live within Norfolk, I will normally hand deliver the finished item to you myself for free. If you live further afield I will arrange for a courier to deliver the panel to you. Installation is to be arranged by you, and I may be able to recommend some local installers if you don’t already have one in mind.

Can’t wait to hear your ideas! Get in touch with any queries.
